How to prepare Banana Toffee Pie?

Last night i went to my uncle's place and was treated with a dessert that he called Banofee or Banana Toffee Pie.Can someone provide me with a complete recipe for this savory desert and its origin as well. How it is prepared and is it Italian or Scottish? ------
